Growing Into Our Parents

I often open my mouth these days and hear my mother's words come pouring out. How is it we use the same words as the last generation when we thought we were so different?

But my brother Russell has me beat...he not only sounds like my father, he has become him! The picture above of Russ could easily be mistaken for a picture of Dad at that age. Same tall stance, same cowboy boot strut, and same slight paunch taking over where , unlike me, he was always slim and trim. Funny how time slips away.

  1. I have morphed into my mother too. I see her face now when I look in the mirror, and I whistle God Bless America like she did when I am aggravated about something.

  2. Oh my gosh, you are right, he has turned into Don. I think you have your dad's face. I look just like my dad. As luck would have it both of your parents have dimples!! Very cute.
