Gray Living, Shops And Housing In McKinney TX

Have you ever seen ads for a shop called
Gray Living?
Their ads are carried in some of the most
popular home decor magazines.
Gray Living is actually a little shop down in
McKinney Texas. I could live in that shop!

As you might know, McKinney is not only my
favorite town in Texas...
but McKinney was also voted the
#1 Best Small Town In America
by Money magazine this year.

You can almost see the sign stating they were
voted #1 this year. See it? It's hanging on
the streetlight post below.
McKinney has so many wonderful shops.
Take a look:

McKinney also has my favorite housing area,
a place called Tucker Hill.
The houses are built to look like they've been
there a hundred years with porches wide
enough to sit and talk to your neighbors.

Here's the communities' swimming pool area.
You can read about Tucker Hill here and
see pictures of the homes during the
Summer when everything is green.

Thanks for dropping by.

  3. I lived in McKinney, in the Eldorado community, in the late nineties. We were only there 2 years, but it was a quiet and family-friendly town. Good memories!

  4. I just found your blog and so happy I did ~ always nice to say hello to a fellow Texan! I haven't been to McKinney in years although I do have a cousin that lives there. These houses are much like "Hometown" in this area. My daughter & s-i-l lived there for almost 13 years and their house was darling! My son still lives there.

I'm a new follower and I look forward to getting to know you. Stop by and say hi when you can!

  5. What a great post! There's nothing like spending a beautiful day perusing the shops in old downtown McKinney. My favorite shop is Petals and Vine. They have the most beautiful accessories!

  6. Rivercrest Cottage,
I've seen the Gray Living Ads. . .they are exceptional, indeed, dear friend!!! The town looks quite intriguing!!!
The Darling Housing area reminds me of a similar one when we were stationed in Colorado Springs!!! Love the porches. . .but three flights of stairs would not be practical at our age!!!
Thanks for sharing these amazing photos!!!
    Fondly,
    Pat

  8. What a charming town! It sounds and looks like such a lovely place to live.

You mentioned in a comment to me that your Mother lives in California, I am in Southern California, perhaps she is close.

I thank you for all of your very nice comments on my blog, they are much appreciated.
