That Narrow Long Table

On Saturday afternoon we went back to Pier One to buy two more counter stools while they were still in stock. This is not a sponsored post, and no one ever pays me to share their goods. Just sharing what catches my eye here...

Not gonna lie...their Easter stuff was really cute, and I was tempted!

But I had counter stools to buy so just took a few photos for you and passed them up!

Luckily there was a girl at the door handing out "15% off your whole purchase" coupons so we got a good deal on the two counter stools we went to buy.

They had a few big bunnies....

And some small ones with tails...

A nice wooden hutch...

With jeweled glasses sitting on it...

Look here!  Pier One also had a version of a long, narrow Harvest Table kind of like I've been looking for...

Pier One's version is by Magnolia Home, Joanna and Chip Gaines' furniture company. Leave it to the Fixer Upper people to want to fix me up!

Sadly, I already bought a used table last week that I've been working on to make do.

But I have to tell you, I was tempted by this pretty lady...

The Magnolia Home table is very narrow. Like 30 inches narrow! And long too, like 84 inches (7 foot) long.

The problem would be that it doesn't overhang on the end, so only a very narrow chair would fit between the legs of the table at the end.

So despite all the pretties, we came home with just the two counter stools that we actually went after. Probably a record for me.

Hope you'll join me at Let's Add Sprinkles' Keep-In-Touch Party

Thanks for dropping by!

  1. I'm glad you got the stools, Sugar, and were able to enjoy (but leave) the things you didn't need behind. It is so easy to get swept up in the moment and buy things we don't really need, isn't it?

Have a wonderful week- xo Diana

  3. Loved all the bunnies too. A great bonus getting a discount on the chairs.

  4. I went into Pier One the other day for the first time in over a decade (bought our first coffee table there!) and I have to say, I was really taken with their Easter decor, too. I had willpower, but sooo cute!

  6. It can be pretty hard to pass up so many pretties. That is why I stay out of the stores. xo Laura

  7. I love walking around Pier Import. We stop in and look around at the nearest one to us which is in Morgantown, WV about an hour away.

  8. I am so proud of you Sugar. I find that I don't go shopping anymore, then I am not tempted LOL.

Loved all the pretties at Pier One

    Have a great week.

  9. You do find the prettiest things!! Those bunnies!! I love the counter stool you bought. Two stools is next on my list of wants. I'm so sick of these two honey oak stools that sit at the counter now...same color as everything else in the house!

  10. Oh my gosh what cute bunnies they have...I haven't been to a Pier One in ages? I'm glad you got the bar stools with an extra 20% off. I love the talble to and I can relate to the ends being narrow for only small chairs. I have that here and hate I can only have two chairs that side in. My nook is smaller and takes up too much space with them sticking out!

  12. I like your shopping trips! And, good for you for sticking to your list! That's a nice shaped table, but I liked the peek at yours as well. The base of yours especially caught my eye. xoxo Su

  13. I adore Pier One. At one time, when I was much younger, we called our "decorating" Early Pier One! Giggle .... I love that table ... it would make a good island! Fun post.

  14. You were a good girl. I have issues of that sort, especially at Pier one.

  15. How cute. Their Easter stuff was really cute. I popped in last week. I didn't buy anything. I already have too many Easter items in my stash. Thanks for linking up to Keep In Touch.
