In The Potted Garden With My Thoughts

The bright colors cheer me up when I'm in the little potted garden out front. We have quite a few wild rabbits around that love to chew on anything in the ground as well as whatever hangs over the pots.

It's strange how the days past so quickly even though they're longer now than any other time of the year!

There's so much that needs to be done, but the heat of summer makes it hard to want to do much around Northeast Texas this time of year. Even the Hydrangeas seem to be hiding out...

We're learning so much about how you can be healthy one minute and the next you're not.

Through the years you always hear, "Guard your health!" Now we know just what is meant by that. It truly does feel sometimes like it's being stolen away.

Thank you for your prayers and kind thoughts for us. Life is slowly getting back to normal since Wild Bill's diagnosis and his mother's death the next day.

We traveled to M.D. Anderson's Cancer Center near Houston the day after mom's funeral hoping for a better prognosis and possible treatment. Though the Center had nothing different to offer, the doctor was especially kind and through in walking us through the PET scan and explaining everything to us.

Thanks for dropping by!

  2. Why do we learn really tough life lessons after we need to learn them? I am very sorry to hear about your Mother in Law's passing. The care that is needed from you to help those who are left is always so much more than we would have known.I have been in your place and it is very hard, very tiring and very necessary. Keeping your and your Dear Husband in my prayers.
    Hugs.

  8. I'm so very sorry. Oh my goodness. you have certainly had a lot to deal with lately. I've read back over your last few posts, and the story about your helping the lady with the prescription had me in tears. Also, I did not know about your husband until now. I feel just awful. Janet is right, miracles happen every day and I truly believe that prayer can change things. You both will be in my prayers.

  9. So sorry about the medical issues that have to be faced. Your flowers are beautiful; especially love the blue balloon flowers. My son and his wife gave me some last year for Mother's Day. They are blooming again this year.

  10. The flowers are really beautiful, and I think that there is peace and sometimes comfort found in their beauty. I've read through your past posts, and have seen that it has been a very stressful and busy time for you. My condolences to your family on your loss, and my prayers for healing, peace and comfort and for you and "Wild Bill" find your way through his treatment and care. Take care, and know I am thinking of you!
