CopyKat: Knick of Time's Spring Wreath

I'm a little embarrassed to tell you I still have my Christmas lights up on the mantle, but honestly I have been known to rock my Christmas lights all the way to St Patrick's Day in March!

I did get the Christmas tree down the first week of January so that does put me ahead of my usual timeframe!

I just couldn't get inspired to change the lights out for something else until I saw THIS post at Knick of Time featuring the frame and wreath above. Love it!

I'll be back soon with my own version of her wreath decor. In the meantime, let me know if you have a good idea for a spring wreath for your mantle or home...I'd love to come check them out.

Thanks for dropping by!

  4. Hello from a first time visitor who dropped in from Lorraine’s blog Mamas Mercantile. I read through some previous posts and wish you all the best in preparing your home for sale. We know how challenging it can be to downsize and declutter as we’ve done the same when we relocated from VA to NH. And yes I too have been watching Marie Kondo’s show on Netflix

    1. Thanks for dropping by Beatrice! This is our 9th move in our 24 years together and we've been in this house the longest of all. We are ready for a new adventure even though we're older than dirt.

  6. Cool! I can't wait to see what you've made! I love wreaths...they are such a great addition to a space. I made a wreath a couple of weeks ago using embroidery hoops...super easy! I'm going to make one a little differently for the front door! Love and hugs!

  7. My mantle lights are up too and will be. (Granted, the mantle changed, though). Your new arrangement will be fabulous and I can't wait to see it. But no, you are not alone!

  9. Thanks so much for stopping by!! I am embarrased to say that my Kitchen and eden are still decorated for Christmas. I am slowly packing things away and then re-decorating for Valnetine's Day and Winter. My knee has really been bothering me and of course, there is work which always seems to get in the way of what i want to do!! But I have learned to slow down and take my time and that is what i am doing.....
    Hugs,
    Deb

  10. Rivercrest Cottage,
I love this wreath attached to the framed chicken wire!
I've been toying with an idea for a Spring wreath using embroidery hoops and a simplistic floral arrangement.
    Time will tell.
Thanks for stopping by My Favorite Things post!

  13. No wreath on the mantle but I did keep some of the dried foliage I had used for my Christmas mantle, added a few things and Voila! Hey! I just realized maybe I should post it. LOL

  17. Love your blog. I still have the greenery and Christmas lights up on my farmhouse mantle. I incorporated little vintage puffy hearts into the mix and have some pics on my current post. Looks so nice at night and I still get to enjoy the glow of the lights. Kept my tree up till mid Jan. No self imposed rules. I think sometimes we jump over to other blogs and feel we have to rush into the next and current theme. I think you have the right idea to do it your way, slow down and enjoy what you like in your home. Looking forward to your next post. Blessings.

    1. Thank you Tonita. I've been over to see your wonderful home and your fireplace mantle is so lovely. It has inspired me to try to do something with my mantle that will incorporate the lights if just for a few more weeks.

  18. I hate taking my Xmas decorations down because everything looks so bare. One year I put up boxwood wreaths in my kitchen and sunroom and I never took them down. Have a wonderful week.
