The flowers always fade or change color and become dry like paper. Some areas have a long enough growing season that if you cut them off they may re-bloom. This year, after some good rainy days in winter, I'm able to water and the hydrangea plants are finally thriving and blooming. They are still small, but I have hopes.Art and Sandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09070124859845536964noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2173691505669853688.post-62639505606653663592017-06-15T09:13:13.948-05:002017-06-15T09:13:13.948-05:00I don't know why I've never tried growing ...I don't know why I've never tried growing hydrangeas, I've always loved them. Jan's Hydrangeas are gorgeous. The big pretty pink and blue ones don't do well here, but I buy one now and then for a pot. As long as I cut off the spent buds they keep producing more.
hugs,
JannHave a Daily Cup of Mrs. Olsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15446091501170762899noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2173691505669853688.post-75858220677208927852017-06-14T14:46:12.801-05:002017-06-14T14:46:12.801-05:00Hydrangeas are water hogs. Water yours and maybe give it some of your used coffee grounds every once and a while.
