Benny Bear starts school today.
Hard to believe 5 years have passed so fast!
Seems just yesterday, Jaysa was 11 days overdue...
and we were eating lunch after her doctor's visit,
when she felt (finally!) her first contraction.
And after a long day, and an even longer night,
Especially Dee...
Started nursery school...
had exciting adventures with mom and dad
and helped me cook...
He became a superhero...
...and a fireman...
and big brother extraordinaire!
education and tackle the rest of the world.
Right after breakfast this morning...
Hope first day of school goes well.
Thanks for dropping by!
P.S. For all you other grannies out there
who resisted getting a smart phone as long
as I did...shame on us! It is so wonderful
to get pictures as soon as life happens.
OMG! What a cutie-patootie!
ReplyDeleteThe years do fly!
I love seeing you and your family.
It touches my heart and makes me happy.
(and I agree about the phone.
I waited too long and now I would never be without one!)
Oh my goodness, how cute! That smile of his must keep you smiling. Time really does fly. He will be graduating before you know it. Enjoy every minute!
ReplyDeleteOh Henny Penny, don't say that. Our oldest grandson Jack just graduated HS last June! We're hoping we get to enjoy the other 5 before they're gone so quickly. Jack is 10 years older than the next grandchild in line. Hopefully they won't be grown so quickly.
DeleteYou're grandson is precious, and a very handsome young man! I hope he has a great year! And yes, you are so right, the time goes by way too quickly! My "baby" starts tomorrow as a junior in High School, ...and this will be the first year I haven't taken a kid to school for their first day in 17 years! It has just hit me, kind of sad! ~Take care & keep us posted how his day went! :) Rhonda
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos of your little bear super hero. He has your eyes grandma. I hope his first day was fun!
ReplyDeleteYou're SO right about grannies & smart phones :)
ReplyDeleteRivercrest Cottage,
ReplyDeleteYou'll be "in style" with your new phone, dear friend!!!
What a cutie pie, indeed!!!
Cherish each moment. . .treasure each memory!!!
Fondly,
Pat
Thanks for the trip down memory lane, Mom. It's hard to believe he's growing up so fast. It'll be little Livvie Lu in the blink of an eye!
ReplyDeleteIt happens so fast.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet, sweet post and I enjoyed the wonderful pictures you shared. Have a lovely rest of the weekend... :)
ReplyDeleteThe first day of school is such a big leap, I remember how I cried when I left mine...they still seemed so small. This is a lovely post and you are right, they definitely grow up too fast and time passes so quickly.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie- hope he has a great year of school! Mine are in high school & I still make them pose on the porch for a first day photo-- much easier with a smart phone. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch cute photos! It's sometimes hard to believe how quickly the years go by.
