We bought our current house on February 11th, five years ago tomorrow. Each year since, we've gotten at least one good snow storm.
This was December 6, 2013's snow storm. It was a good one that lasted for 4 or 5 days...
So far this year we've had lots of rain, but no snow. I really love the look of our house in the snow. This was last year's snow, which wasn't as heavy as previous years, but still a pretty sprinkling.
We haven't given up yet though. In our old house, which was just south of Waco, we had a magnificent snow and ice storm on Easter for 2 years in a row. I've got my fingers crossed. I'm dreaming of a white...Easter.
Thanks for dropping by!
Your home looks so pretty with the fresh snow fall! We haven't gotten anything more than a few inches of snow so far this year. The month isn't over though so we could still get a major storm. Unfortunately we usually get ice with the snow which I could do with out!!!!

Our snow either melts within a day, or turns into ice and that's where the problem happens. But it's so pretty it's worth the trouble.
DeleteWe've not had much snow this year (but the winter isn't over)! I'm quite thankful since more than ever I'm on the road a lot of the time - to and from my parents... You house IS beautiful in the snow :)
ReplyDeleteOh you brave soul, no snow for me. When we lived in Texas I remember an ice storm we had and all the electric and telephone lines came down.
ReplyDeleteYour weather sounds a bit like ours. We aren't giving up that Feb and March may still bring ice. Not really wanted, but it can happen like it has in the past. Your home is lovely and covered in snow a pretty picture for Texas. Have a nice weekend ahead and Happy Valentine's Day! xo

ReplyDeleteThe weather in Texas has changed so much from what it was when we left there 12 years ago that I'm amazed.
ReplyDeleteMy husband grew up in Texas. He often says it changes every 5 years or so. The drought in the 50's was so bad it drove the state to start building man-made lakes to hold water for the bad times. You can't go very far in Texas (except West Texas) without being near a lake.
DeleteGood grief! I typed a comment and then didn't publish it! I was saying...your house is beautiful! We may get snow flurries tomorrow. I am hoping for no more snow!
ReplyDeleteWe just gotten some snow, most unusual.
ReplyDeleteYour home is so beautiful outside! I didn't realize that Texas gets that much snow.
ReplyDeleteWe've have very little snow this year too..but a lot of rain. We had about 1/4 of an inch but at least the ground looks white. Your old home looks lovely in the snow.
ReplyDeleteToo bad you don't still live "just south of Waco"! I would find something white and fluffy and put it on your doorstep :^)
ReplyDeleteYour home is lovely!
Blessings,
J
Me too! I want snow so badly. What's a winter with no snow?
ReplyDeleteRivercrest Cottage,
ReplyDeleteGorgeous home all covered with Snow, dear friend!
No Snow here on the Prairie, either!
Fondly,
Pat
Oh gosh, I'll send you some of ours! : ) It just started snowing a couple of hours ago and its coming down to beat the band. It won't end until tomorrow and "they" say a max of 5 inches, but I think it will be more than that. I thought we were going to get lucky and have a snowless winter here, but I guess not.
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful home! I'll bet it looks just as lovely in the Spring and Summer without all the white stuff.
You are in luck, I have about 30 tons of snow that you can have...LOL I/m kidding if course, but I really had to laugh. Living up here in Yankee territory for close to 20 years now...when I say that? I get such strange looks from people.
ReplyDeleteLove your brick home BTW, its so pretty!
I can't believe that you guys haven't had any snow. The entire time we lived in Dallas, it snowed every year! Your home is beautiful!! Hugs!!
ReplyDeleteSnow is so beautiful to me. We don't get any and right now we are in the midst of a surprising heat wave. I hope that winter isn't over just yet.
