Ballard Design's Store Instead of the Catalog

I have always liked to look at Ballard Design's catalog, but I must confess I never saw anything I was ever moved to buy.

That changed when I happened upon one of their stores in a nearby upscale mall.

The first thing I saw walking into the store was this bed. It was love at first sight!

There's no way I would put all these quilts and comforters on one bed, but I love the look of the different patterns.

Blue hasn't been my color in years, but I seemed to be drawn to all the blue things in the store so maybe that's changing.

This table can be used as a desk or table. It's the perfect length and width I'm looking for...narrow and long...32 inches by 72 inches.

I have my heart set on a more rustic table, but if I can't find one soon I may just buy this one.

I have enough bedside tables already, but I'm considering painting a pair of them in a dark gray or black chalk paint like this one below.

I do have a need for lights -- a chandelier over my dining area and two pendents over the kitchen island.

The chandeliers at Ballard Design's store were lovely and could be mixed and matched together if you have several areas.

These artsy type chandeliers below were my favorite. They use to carry them in a darker metal, but they discontinued the darker ones.

I'm waiting to see which shape of table I end up with before I decide on a chandelier.

A designer in a lighting shop told me a while back to match the shape of the chandelier with the shape of the table. That tip made sense, so I'm being patient.

Thanks for dropping by!
