You know I love Pottery Barn.
I've showed you my
3-tiered tray...
So why didn't someone tell me
they have a blog?
they have a blog?
(picture sad face with tears)
I found out when I was checking out
Common Ground's bloglist.
So, of course I added it to my bloglist.
And then checked it out a few times,
and a few times more.
I don't get paid for advertising
or for anything I say on this blog.
I just don't want you to miss out.
But, I'm probably the last to know!
Here's my latest PB purchase.
Turkey plates...
Sadly, I've already wrapped them back up
in the wonderful box they come in,
so I can return them
the next time I go to the PB store.
They are pretty, but not functional.
I would not want to put food on them.
In my mind they are for decorating,
not for eating from.
And, I have too many pretties,
and too little storage, so I'm requiring
things to be functional from now on.

functional is a good requirement for me...but I'm having to slip into that one..and it's not easy. I save the PB catalogs for months! I am obsessed too!
ReplyDeleteI admire your discipline in taking something back that is pretty but not functional. That's hard! I love Pottery Barn too! I had no idea they blogged. I will check it out!
ReplyDeleteOh, you made my day Khammany! I thought I was the only one who was clueless to their blog. I feel a little better.
ReplyDeleteHmmm. I am not a fan of the Turkey plates. I try to only buy functional things as well, but I've decided sometimes the function of a thing can just be that it makes me happy (like my thrifted and gifted pottery collection).
ReplyDeleteThey are pretty, but if you can't eat off them, I can see why you had to return them.
ReplyDeleteThe plates really are lovely, but I have to agree with you if you don't/can't eat off of them. But on the flip side, I love the chair, and those pillows are also a great and fun find!
ReplyDeleteI hope you're doing well, and I hope you're enjoying the weekend too!
I have been on a de clutter thing too. I simply cannot buy any thing else, until a LOT of stuff I have is gone! Glad I found a good resale store.
