Day 5 Texas Blog Tour

Friday is the final day of the Texas Blog Tour hosted by Katie of Let's Add Sprinkles.
I had to pass in participating in the blog tour this time. Right now our house is in total chaos with purging and painting going on! I've really enjoyed helping them get the word out though, that's my small contribution for the Texas cause.
A few of the bloggers forgot last week to remove my blog's link from the Friday list so I thought I'd throw in some old pictures of the kitchen with the pig all dolled up for fall just to show some fall spirit. His sign says "Gobble Till You Wobble".  Perfect for the holidays that will soon be here.
I love these picks from Hobby Lobby and use them in quite a few vignettes. The charming thing about them is the bug bites on the leaves. Makes them a little more realistic, right?
The Scare Crow has been with me for many years now. I bought him at Cracker Barrel way back when. He doesn't take much room to store, so he's in no fear of getting purged.
I'm afraid he's a little like "Elf On A Shelf" in that you never know where he's going to pop up. He sat by the fireplace in 2014, hiding between all the faux Jack-O-Lanterns.
I'd say I have a thing for sunflowers and pumpkins when it comes to fall decor. Too many of both if you hear Wild Bill tell it.

Thanks for dropping by!

  2. That's nice that you still included links for the blog tour. Sometimes we just can't do it all! I love scarecrows and they always seem to find a place in my fall/halloween decor. I like purging- I feel mentally lighter when I do. I need to do more. Good luck with the painting!

  8. You decorate so pretty! I can't bring myself to spend four dollars on a pumpkin. I need more than a pumpkin, so I don't know where to begin.:) Maybe I'll just pick a bunch of Golden Rod flowers.

  9. What a fun post, Sugar. You have some cute fall things. Don't you love all the little out-of-the-ordinary things you can find at Cracker Barrel? We don't have one around here so I have fun when we find one. They are the only place I know of that sells maple sugar--and while I am not crazy about maple 'flavored' stuff- I love real maple sugar.
For not participating I'd say you did a good job. lol xo Diana
