My Kitchen Has A Hole In It

There's a hole in our kitchen...
See it?

Above the refrigerator, the builder planned
for a TV in the space. There is a plug-in
and cable outlet just waiting for a TV.

The inside of the cabinet was not finished
like the rest of the cabinets (see below)
and there are no doors like these.

Just a big hole.
We don't want to put a TV in our
kitchen. It's part of the great room and
there's already a TV across the room.

Wondering what would you do?

Bloggers always have such wonderful
ideas. Please share your best idea
with us and help us fix that hole.

  1. I think I'd be finishing it off like the rest of the kitchen, and adding doors. I'm not sure about you, but I always need space for kitchen stuff.

  2. I can't even make a suggestion. I am terrible at things like this. Your decorating ideas are wonderful!! Seems like everything you do turns out beautiful. I love your pumpkin decorations in your last post.

  3. It looks like you have a cute vignette there now.

I thought about a wine rack, but I don't know if it would be too hot.

I received your package yesterday, but am having some health issues so I didn't even open it until this morning. Thank You . . . Thank You . . . Thank You. The little pots are too cute. We have been wanting something for French onion soup and they will be perfect. Check here http://instagram.com/artandsand to see my Instagram pic for today. When you go to the site, you will see a collage of my IG pics and then the first pic in the row of pics below the collage will be my latest which is a collage of the pots and then how I plan to use them. I am still coming up with ideas for the burlap.

  5. I always end up putting some vignette in spaces like these or some sort of silk arrangement. I can't wait to see what you did.

  7. Rivercrest Cottage,
Of course, I'd fill the space with dishes!!!
I'd possibly have my "Mr. Ed" custom~fit
some cabinet door frames and install
chicken wire inserts, so the dinnerware
would be visible from the outside.
If not, that would be a Seasonal vignette
display area to enjoy switching out
    several times a year!!!
    Fondly,
    Pat
