Pot Pie For Leftovers

Middle daughter's husband Mike is already making "test turkeys" this weekend in preparation for Thanksgiving. He's planning to make two turkeys and has a new recipe to try.
If you remember, he's the one who cooks in that family. Middle daughter's "recipe binder" has only take out menus inside. I kid you not!

Later today, I got a text asking for the recipe I used in November 2014 to rescue some slightly overcooked turkey that Mike wanted to throw out. It was a pot pie recipe from Stonegable's blog. When writing about it, Stonegable said it is the best pot pie recipe and it truly is.
I found the link to a post I did back in 2015 when I changed the recipe just a little. I thought maybe you might like Stonegable's recipe too. Here's the link.

Isn't it scary how fast November is going? Seems just yesterday it was the 1st, tomorrow is the 7th.

Thanks for dropping by!

  3. I'm fixing homemade chicken pot pie for dinner tonight! What a coincidence. Yours look good. Mine are not individual though. My husband will be our turkey baker this year. He's a good cook so hopefully, I won't have to worry about it. That's a good idea for you husband to try his new recipe before the big day!

  6. I hope this finds you and yours doing well. May we display your header on our new site directory? As it is now, the site title (linked back to its home page) is listed, and we think displaying the header will attract more attention. In any event, we hope you will come by and see what is going on at SiteHoundSniffs.com.

  7. Well, if your son-in-law isn't going to roast the turkey but would still like to have gravy, he might like my post this week: Make-Ahead Turkey Gravy and Broth! Now you've got me in the mood for chicken pot pie and I *must* check out that new-to-me Q blog. Thanks again for your concern about that possible problem recently; much appreciated.
